Carpet Flooring

  • When should I consider replacing my carpet?

    Proper care of your carpet will extend its life. But if you’ve noticed matting, stains, worn-out padding, or an unpleasant odor, it’s a good time to look for new carpet flooring. Of course, if you’re just tired of the look of your current carpet, it could be time for a new, modern design. Creative Carpets has a wide selection of carpets  and our sales professionals can help you find the perfect solution for your home.

  • How do I know what type of carpet to choose for my home?

    The type of carpet you choose depends on your personal style preferences, as well as how much foot traffic it will get and whether you have kids and pets. Our flooring specialists will ask you all the right questions and help find the best option to match your specific needs and budget.

  • How do I care for and maintain my carpet?

    Have the carpet cleaned professionally to improve appearance. The cleaning process should extract as much water as quickly as possible, enabling the carpet to be totally dry in a few hours. Vacuum weekly with a good quality vacuum using a HEPA (high efficiency particulate air) filter, or use a central vacuum system with an outside discharge. Many of our in-stock carpets can be cleaned with bleach!

vinyl / resilient Flooring

  • What is vinyl, or resilient, flooring?

    This type of flooring continues to grow in popularity because it comes in a variety of patterns and textures that look like hardwood, stone, or ceramic tile but at a more affordable price. Vinyl flooring can be installed in sheets or as luxury vinyl tiles or planks. Vinyl flooring is durable, waterproof, pet friendly, and easy to maintain.

  • Can I use vinyl flooring in any room of my home?

    Yes! Vinyl flooring works everywhere. It’s particularly good for rooms with lots of activity like kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms, entryways and play areas.

  • How do I care for and maintain my vinyl/resilient flooring?

    Use glides or protectors to prevent denting from furniture. Wash resilient flooring using small amounts of mild detergent and water.

Laminate Flooring

  • How is laminate flooring made?

    Laminate flooring has the appearance of a hardwood floor, but no solid wood is used to make it. Laminate floors consist of multiple layers of materials bonded together under high pressure, finished with a photographic image of natural wood flooring and a hard, clear top layer.

  • Should I choose laminate flooring for my home?

    Laminate is a good choice if you’re looking for an inexpensive, easy-to-install flooring solution. It’s stain resistant and fairly durable. But it’s susceptible to moisture damage, so we don’t recommend installation in bathrooms, laundry rooms and other rooms with floor drains.

  • How do I care for and maintain my laminate flooring?

    Vacuum, sweep and clean with a damp mop. It’s just that simple!
